Probably the best reason to know a little HTML

This is a wysiwyg online editor. When you format your text, the app creates the code for you.

This is

1. easier
2. faster

But

• the code is not as tidy
• and you have less control.

Sometimes you'll encounter a glitch in the layout--then it is good to be able to look at the HTML and sort out the problem.
